The boys were so excited! We drove to Wal-Mart to get more lights for our half-lit tree last night and experienced quarter size flakes falling on our windshield. The boys talked about all that they were going to do in it when they got up...not realizing that it would probably be gone before they woke. I wish my kids could experience the never-ending snow that I was priviledged to have as a child in Iowa! We could build snow forts and they would be there ALL winter! We didn't fear the snow melting while we were inside for our hourly thawing.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">I heard others talking of another sprinkling yesterday too. They were all starry eyed with Christmas excitement and were talking about their lives being 'sprinkled' with Christmas events this month.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">I am also experiencing the addition of Christmas in my life...</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">Have you ever turned over a salt shaker expecting to 'sprinkle' a little salt only to discover someone has unscrewed the lid? Don't get me wrong...I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME! It would be nice to be able to sit and enjoy some of it though! Who am I kidding...if it was slow, I would find something to fill the time! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">So for now, I will keep moving at a rapid pace with the reminder going off in my head that this is what I will soon enough crave when my boys are grown and my house is quiet.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">My list for today...</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">-Decorate the tree (as soon as the bulbs are replaced!)</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white;">-Pre-heat my oven (I have this internal need to have my house smell like cookies and pies from Thanksgiving to New Years! I struggle at times to find a balance between school time, housework, and the endless to-do list for the church. It doesn't help matters when the youngest of my four boys, 2 year old Kyle, is a ball of energy which never ends. His partner in crime, Miss Avery (or AV as Kyle calls her), is a one year old grand daughter of close friends which stays at our house Monday- Friday during the daytime and adds excitement to the already deafening volume at our 20 acre piece of the Delta! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: black;"> My Christmas tree is up, but half lit. The decorations boxes are providing hours of playtime for Kyle and AV as they see them as a staircase to who-knows-where! Brandyn, 11, Zach, 9, and Camryn, 7, are up still in pj's and wanting to play the wii instead of school.
